ILLINOIS AND INTO OHIO
Flat farmland, slight rollers, and machinery working the fields, lots of horses and cattle and the occasional lama farm. Small towns and friendly people wishing us luck. Motorcyclists yelling good luck, one couple even rode along side talking with us. Headwinds all day so there goes the theory ride West to East and you will have a tailwind.
On 13st Frank and I did 51 and the Bucknell boys Jay and Kyle each logged 100. Awesome!!!!!!! Weather still hitting the 90s in the afternoons.
Dinner with everyone at the Red Lobster next to our hotel after round tripping to a recommended Italian restaurant that was having a private party. Guys never call or ask directions?????????
14th Up early so we could get to the end point, London,OH to meet up with Kyle’s parents. Did 58 miles today crossing into our 9TH state Ohio. Stopped in LEWISBURG, OH and learned that it was named after our own Lewisburg, PA and that some of the original people came from there. The morning was cool enough to wear a windbreaker for the first time but we were back to our usual 90 degree afternoon
